Actually I have two cats Kimba and Silver and no pet else, but yesterday there was a surprising.
My godfather found a cardboard box in the near at on corner of the fence of our house (around 20 metres from our frontdoor away).
I noticed the box short time before, but I didn't see what was in it and I thought nothing of it that there is something important in this box. But my godfather was nosy and had a look in the box...
It was incredible he saw two anxious cavys in the wet and dirty box! But why are they in this little box/prison somewhere far away from any door exposed? Who did this? This person must be stupid or he doesn't have a heart. Anyway we brought them in our garden, made a little wooden fence around a patch of grass and gave these cute cavys some dandelion leafs and carrots. They were so anxious but after a while they ate a lot. And now they are in an old rabbit hutch (of course we bought some new litter). Unfortunately we have to pass them to a pound, because we have still cats and I want to avoid each risk...
I don't understand people doing that, these cavys could starved! Well, now they are doing well, I hope.
This photo shows the cavys how they are sharing a carrot. They are so lovely...

I can't believe somebody would do that! I have two piggies and they are the best. I couldn't imagine doing that to them

A CURSE ON THE PREVIOUS OWNERS THAT DID THIS TO THOSE SWEET ANIMALS! :( How lucky you are to have stumbled across them. Guinea pigs are such awesome animals, and no animal deserves that previous kind of treatment. I will personally sick a curse on the butthole that did that to those sweet pigs. Good for you for keeping them and giving them a kind and loving home :) This is now my overall favourite picture for the day :)

I brought them to an animal shelter, because we have cats and I was not sure if they would get on with them, but I think they're living at a nice new home :)

Yes, you're right, this person should be arrested as long as these guinea pigs were caught in the box. Maybe then he would understand how much cruel this was! I hope he won't do something like that again.

They are beautiful guinea pigs, those who have abandon them are foolish a part of human nature that disgust me so. But it is people like you that give me hope for the pitiful human race.

Thank you for your wonderful compliment  I hope the cavys are well now. They're in one of the biggest pounds in Germany in Hamburg now and the people there are so pleasant to animals not as bad as the people they don't want the cavys any more and which have no heart.

Aww they're so beautiful, how could someone just abandon them like that. It's evil. Are you going to keep them? They're so gorgeous.

I don't understand this person too. No I can't keep them because I don't know what my Maine Coons would do if they catch these little cavys and my mother is allergic to them. But they are in one of the biggest pounds in Germany in Hamburg now. They are really friendly and caring there. They said Cavys are highly coveted in this pound and so they will come to a new home very soon I hope.

I know it's so cruel how people can do these things :( That's why it's great to get pets from an animal shelter, we got ours from the Cats Protection in Scotland, and my big sister got her cat from an English version. Ah good point, if Kimba and Silver are anything like Arran and Skye they will catch anything that moves. But they are so adorable I'm sure they will be chosen immediately. Perhaps the rescue place should use your image to promote them :D They're meant to live in South America, aren't they?

Yes, animal shelters are really great to get animals. First we thought we would get one or two cats from such a pound but then we saw Kimba and Silver in the Internet and we couldn't say no, also the vendor was a few steps from here, so now we have them and we're happy we used the chance :) Haha, thank you for the compliment, but I think they don't need the photo of these cavys, they will still get a new home without promotion :) Yes, wiki said they live in wildlife in South America, but they will have also a happy life when they're living in Germany and are well supplied by humans I think :)

oh, was ein süßes Bild! Ich hatte auch mal 3.
Ich hasse Menschen, die sowas machen.
Und umso mehr liebe ich die, die ein wirkliches Herz haben und alles versuchen, dass es den Tieren gut geht!

That's good to know - although sometimes cavys do well in the wild for a while [link] or [link] says that they aren't cut out for it unless they are actually wild cavys to begin with.
